Sexagesimal Arithmetic Carryover Ledger
✓ SECONDS:
Sum of raw seconds: 30s + 15s + 0s = 45s (under 60, zero carryover required).
✓ MINUTES:
Sum of raw minutes: 45m + 35m + 15m = 95m. Base-60 split: 95m ÷ 60 = 1 hr carryover with 35m remaining.
✓ HOURS:
Sum of raw hours: 5h + 2h + 1h = 8h + (1h carried over) = 9 Hours total.

The Rules of Sexagesimal (Base-60) Arithmetic Explained
Unlike the standard decimal system (Base-10) where numbers roll over at powers of 10, time arithmetic operates on the ancient Sumerian sexagesimal system (Base-60). Every time an addition reaches 60 units, a carryover must increment the higher tier.
When subtracting, the inverse process takes place: if the minutes minuend is smaller than the subtrahend, borrow 1 hour to convert it into 60 additional minutes before subtracting.
